Miss Anne G. - Executive Director

Miss Anne received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Wheaton College in Massachusetts and a Masters of Science in Education from Bank Street College of Education in New York City.  Anne taught at the Episcopal School for 11 years before having her own two children.  She was a member of the admissions team at the Brearley School.  This is Miss Anne's third year as Executive Director.

Miss Caitlin - Head Teacher

Caitlin attended SUNY New Paltz where she received a Masters in Elementary Education, recently graduating with a second Masters in Literacy Education. Caitlin previously taught 4th grade in North Carolina for two years. During Caitlin's first year at MECEC, she was an Assisting teacher, now serving as a Head Teacher. Caitlin has been part of the MECEC team for 5 years!

Miss Kristen - Head Teacher

Kristen is a graduate from  Arilingtion High School.  She and has a certificate for 500 hours of Early Childhood training and an Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education. Kristen began her Bachelors degree at SUNY New Paltz but decided to put it on hold when she had children.  With over 15 years of work in a preschool setting, she came to MECEC in 2014 as an assistant but became a Head teacher within a few months.  The following three years she maintained her connection to MECEC by substitute teaching and filling in for a maternity leave. Kristen believes there is nothing more inspiring than to see the face of a child who has mastered a new skill or conquered a challenge.  This is Miss Kristen's second year as a Head Teacher. 

Miss Loredana - Head Teacher

Loredana studied playwriting & theatre production at Hunter College in New York City. Her passion is writing; poetry, essays, plays. Her writing career began at ANSA News Agency in 2000, where she translated up to the minute news from English to Italian for Italian newspapers across the United States & Canada. After having her daughter in 2010, who attended MECEC, she began working as an assistant teacher to former Director  Miss Laurie, where her passion for teaching began. The willingness & readiness she sees in young children, makes her want to be a bigger part of their learning process. Loredana has since worked with preschool aged children for 4 years. Her teaching beliefs are exercising imagination through play & allowing children to be active and hands on in their learning. This is Miss Loredana's second year as Head Teacher.

Miss Nicole - Assistant Teacher

Nicole's son Chase attended MECEC for three years. She is very pleased to be in as Miss Caitlin's assistant teacher this year. Nicole had the opportunity to substitute with most of the teachers and got to see the program first hand. She has now been with MECEC for 4 years!

Miss Maile - Head Teacher

Maile is currently a graduate student at Mercy College where she is working on her Masters and tri-certification in Early Childhood, Childhood and Special Education. She is projected to graduate in Fall 2020. Through her Masters work she's taken an interest in researching and observing many alternatives forms of education including the Montessori, Waldorf and Reggio Emilia methods. Studying and working in schools across Dutchess, Westchester Counties and Connecticut she has over 5 years of experience in Early Childhood Education. In addition, Maile is an experienced dance teacher and a certified USA Gymnastics instructor. She has been with MECEC for 4 years!  

Miss Jill - Head Teacher

Miss Jill studied Early Childhood Education at Lesley College in Cambridge, MA, which at the time was renowned for its Education Program. In addition, she pursued other interests such as religion, programming and creative writing at Harvard University.  Miss Jill worked in administration and ministry before finding love, getting married and starting a family. Miss Jill returned to teaching at Small Circle of Friends in 2014. In 2015, Miss Jill joined MECEC as an assistant teacher with former Executive Director Miss Laurie.   To keep current with the latest educational trends and information, Miss Jill has returned to school and is taking Early Childhood Education classes online.  This is Miss Jill's fourth year at MECEC and first year as Head Teacher.
