ENRICHMENT
Children at MECEC experience a variety of high-quality enrichment classes that enhance their learning, deepen their understanding and provide new avenues for expression. These include:

Music-MISS EMI - Music helps the body and the mind work together. Exposing children to music during early development, helps them learn sounds and the meaning of words. Dancing to music helps children build motor skills while allowing them to practice self-expression and strengthen memory skills.

DRAMA-MISS MARIA- Early childhood drama, primarily through dramatic play, allows children to develop cognitive, social, and emotional skills by acting out different roles and scenarios. This experience enhances language and communication, builds empathy and emotional regulation, and fosters creativity, problem-solving, and confidence. Through pretend play, children learn to negotiate, cooperate, and understand different perspectives in a safe and engaging way.

Art-MR.ANTONIO- Art is free expression! Giving children a creative outlet can help relieve stress and work through things happening in their lives. By encouraging artistic expression, you can help multifaceted learning experiences. While children at MECEC are always creating art.

Yoga-MISS NICOLE- Enhances children's flexibility, coordination, strength, and body awareness. Including improving children's concentration and sense of calmness.

dance-mISS LINDSEY- Movement is one of the first forms of communication from birth through infancy. Dancing, tumbling, rolling, rocking, hopping, jumping, and crawling are only a few ways that children can become more self-confident learners. Creative Movement in early childhood education is a way for children to explore movement through music, develop physical skills, channel energy, stimulate imagination and promote creativity.
